The holidays are a really great time for family, friends, and most importantly, food. With all of the
wonderful thanksgiving and Christmas foods around this time of year, it can be difficult to resist
the temptation to eat. Many people eat and eat and don't have any issue. Others, however, are
unhappy with all they have eaten, and all of the weight they have gained.
So tell me, should these weight gainers be stressed, or are they actually blessed?
Technically there are two answers to this question.
The first is that they could be stressed, but on only one condition. People who have gained
holiday weight should only be stressed if they have become obese, or gained so much weight
that it is a danger to their health. If that's the case, then some changes should probably be
made.
The other answer, and most likely the more common answer, is that these weight gainers are
blessed. Now I know that that may sound fairly crazy, but I truly believe that these people can
consider themselves somewhat blessed. Why? Because if you have gained weight during the
holiday season, then you have been given the blessing of an abundance of food. There are
many people that don't get nearly enough to eat during the year, much less during the holiday
season.
So when you're thinking about how many pounds you've put on, stop for a second and think
about the memories you made eating that delicious holiday food, and say a prayer of thanks to
God for blessing you with family, friends, and some pretty great food.
